Make Way For the Bikes

This past spring I purchased a brand new bicycle (with a little help from a friend) and started riding, something that had not been done in 20+ years. You know the saying "it's just like riding a bike?" Come to find out, it is. I started riding in the spring and participated in the first-of-its-kind relay race sponsored by Landmark Group from Omaha to Rockport, MO. for the benefit of Habitat for Humanity of Omaha.

I loved it, so I was very happy to see an article in the Omaha World Herald about carving out a lane for bicyclists, published November 28, 2011 by Jeffrey Robb. The idea is to carve a biking and walking trail through parts of downtown Omaha. It sounds perfect for the casual rider like myself. I know there are several trails all over the area, but what a great way to see some of Omaha's beautiful real estate! Check out the article and happy riding!
