2012 Summer Olympics

The Olympics are going on right now.  I have not had time to watch a lot of it, but I have enjoyed what I have seen.  What a difference electronics makes in this.  I just saw that the men's 100-meter freestyle was won by an American, Nathan Adrian, by a total margin of .01 seconds.  Without electronics that would have been a tie.  What a finish!

Photo of #LeeValley by @AussihornetWhat about the women's volleyball team and the Nebraska native Jordan Larson who is playing?  Brazil won the gold it 2008, but were defeated on Monday by the US.  Tonight they defeated China by a score of 3-0, although the last set went to 31-29.  It makes us proud that people like this are representing our country.  It took a lot of hard work to get there.  Their example can be an inspiration to all of us of what good can come from hard work and dedication.  We may never get to the Olympics, but we can still make a difference to the world around us.
