Maintenance Tip of the Day

Spring/ Summer is in the air. We were blessed with the mild winter and the early warming we have had, but this also means plenty of unwanted pests (no not your neighbor), bugs! The warm week ends and nice evenings gives us an opportunity to take a look at the outside of our homes. Check the gutters do they need cleaned, make sure they are still connected to the house and the downspouts are draining properly, check around your doors and windows, are there areas that need caulked to prevent bugs from entering. Check you screens, are any of them ripped or have holes in them. Nylon screens dry rot so as you inspect check for weathered areas on them. Check your roof for loose or missing shingles, this can save you by repairing them before it is a larger problem.Check for loose or chipping paint, if you have a vinyl siding check for any damages. If you home is brick check the joints for loose or missing mortar. Check the trees and shrubs growing next to your house make sure nothing is dragging against the house or roof, dragging on the roof causes severe damage.Check for cracks in your sidewalk or driveway, small  cracks can be filled to keep water from going under it.Check the yard, now is a good time to apply grass seed, treat for moles, and trim the trees and bushes you meant to last year. And if you are looking for help with any or all of these projects call Landmark Group, one phone call takes care of any project you may have around your home. May each morning bring new hope and blessings to you.
