Renting a House or an Apartment?

With renting, one must decide if renting an apartment or a house is a better decision for them. Taking a look at your current rental needs can help you decide if an apartment or a house will fit you better. If you are unsure which is better for you based on your situation, you may want to rent a property though a property management company as they are experts in renting. 

Advantages and Disadvantages of Renting an Apartment
One of the many great advantages to renting an apartment is that many apartments offer extra security and most buildings will require a key or a code to have access to the apartment. If you are having money issues when looking for a place to rent, the apartment will offer you a place to live at a lower price. Some of the disadvantages that you may have when renting an apartment are prevalent as well. Noise may be a big issue, along with interacting with more people walking around and using the facilities.
Advantages and Disadvantages to Renting a House 
One of the advantages of renting a house is that you are not required to have a large downpayment or have extra money for repair cost. With a house you also have the advantage of having a yard where kids can become active and and play in a safe environment. Renting a house provides you the freedom to choose if you want to live near the city, or in a residential area as apartments are usually situated in more commercial areas. There are a lot more options when it comes to renting a house as well. If you have a large family, than renting a house is a better choice, as they are a lot bigger. A disadvantage to renting a house is that there are no guarantees the homeowner will extend the contract beyond the existing terms. When the contract is due to expire; the owner can given notice that the house may not be available for rent in the future. 


In the end the final decision can come down to what you may need for your family and their needs. Every person has their own advantages and disadvantages, and it may depend on what is available at that time.
